Although the sound of this album is a vast departure from what we expect from Billy Burnette, this is an amazing record and is one of my favorites. Rather than giving us his usual Rockabilly infused style, we are treated to a mix of blues, R&B, and pop. We also start to see Burnette hit his stride as a songwriter and his lyrical talents can be heard on all but two of the tracks.
