Billy Burnette inched away from his Rockabilly roots for a more Country approach on this album but I don't think he went too far in that direction (nevermind his use of the words "tumbleweed," "honkytonk,"and "cropduster" in his lyrics).
One thing to note is that here we see another instance of Billy's frequent tendency to re-record his own material. "The Bigger the Love" previously appeared on 1981's Gimme You, but - to his credit - he improves upon the original with a version that sounds infinitely more heartfelt and romantic.
