If you're already an established fan of Johnny Cash, this is a must-own recording as it contains some excellent covers of Cash classics. However, if you're not yet familiar with the music of Johnny Cash, I suggest starting elsewhere. A good choice for that is The Essential Johnny Cash, available at most music retailers.
As for Burnette's contribution - Billy continues his reign as cover king by turning in a wonderful, yet uniquely Burnette take on "Ring Of Fire." He changes it just enough to make it his own, but not so much as to disgrace the beauty of the original.
